Walnut has a deep, even color that makes green vegetables look vivid, and this paddle board shows off asparagus, snap peas and herbs beautifully. The long handle has a hanging hole, so it can live on a hook when not in use and still be close at hand.
The 3/4 in. thickness is sturdy enough for daily chopping, yet light enough to lift and tip chopped produce straight into a bowl. We use it for shaving asparagus into ribbons, then carry it to the table as a serving board for sliced vegetables and dip.
