Orange, Kiwi and Pear Morning Bowl

4.7(847 ratings)

Winter fruit has a reputation for being dull, but this bowl proves otherwise. Supremed oranges bring sweet-tart juice, kiwi adds a gentle tang and speckled green color, and a firm pear gives welcome crunch. A squeeze of lime and a little torn mint keep everything tasting fresh, and the whole thing comes together faster than a pot of tea steeps.

Method

  1. Step 1: Cut the peel and white pith from the oranges with a sharp knife, then slice between the membranes to release clean segments into a bowl, catching any juice.

  2. Step 2: Peel the kiwis and cut them into rounds about 1/4 inch thick. Core the pear and slice it thinly lengthwise so the pieces stay crisp.

  3. Step 3: Whisk the lime juice, coconut nectar and any collected orange juice together in a small cup until the nectar dissolves.

  4. Step 4: Arrange the orange segments, kiwi rounds and pear slices in a white serving bowl, pour over the lime dressing and scatter with torn mint and hemp seeds.
