Clip-Top Jar Overnight Groats with Berries
4.9(884 ratings)This is a real overnight recipe: soak the groats the night before, blend quickly after dinner, and the jar is waiting in the fridge at breakfast. A spoonful of chia thickens the mix while it rests and keeps it creamy. The clip-top jar seals tightly, so it travels well to work or a picnic.

Method
-
Step 1: Pulse the soaked groats with the almond milk, date and cardamom until creamy but still slightly textured.
-
Step 2: Stir in the chia seeds by hand, then spoon the mixture into a clip-top jar, leaving room at the top for fruit.
-
Step 3: Seal the jar and refrigerate overnight, or for at least eight hours, so the chia can absorb the extra liquid.
-
Step 4: Open the jar in the morning, stir once and scatter the raspberries and blueberries over the top.
