Spinach Banana Mango Smoothie for Two

4.5(256 ratings)

If greens in a glass still feel like a leap, begin here. Ripe banana and frozen mango mask the spinach completely, leaving only a bright color and a gentle, tropical sweetness. A spoon of hemp hearts adds body without any nut soaking, so the whole thing comes together in the time it takes to rinse the blender.

Method

  1. Step 1: Pour the coconut water and lime juice into the blender jar first so the blades catch liquid right away and the spinach does not stick to the sides.

  2. Step 2: Add the baby spinach in two handfuls, pulsing briefly after each addition until the leaves collapse into a smooth, bright green liquid with no visible flecks.

  3. Step 3: Add the banana, frozen mango, hemp hearts and ice, then blend on high for 45 to 60 seconds until thick, creamy and completely even in color.

  4. Step 4: Taste and add a splash more coconut water if it feels too thick to sip through a straw, then divide between two tall glasses and serve immediately.
